For Care Providers

A guide to working with Care Possible

Looking for Work?

  • Yes! Care Possible is not an employer. We are an online marketplace to help you — an independent contractor — find clients and work.

You and your client(s) will agree on schedules and rates of pay. This could vary from client to client. Some jobs might be casual/one-off jobs, or they might need you for a few months. You decide!

  • As a care provider working with Care Possible, you can negotiate your rate of pay with the client or their family, and this rate will be clearly stated in the agreement.

There is a 5% service fee deducted from the hours you are paid. This allows us to provide you with insurance and all the scheduling & management tools.

It is important to note that as an independent contractor, you are responsible for handling your own taxes.

You will need to provide your bank account details so we can process payments, securely and safely, from your client to you.

Including a photo in your profile is important because it fosters recognition, trust, personal connection, and authenticity.

  • On Care Possible it's easy to contact people looking for help in your area.

Have you seen a job you want to apply for?

Click the 'Apply' button. A short message introducing you and inviting the person seeking care to view your profile will appear. You can use this message or create your own, and add any other information you think is important. Attach your CV if you have one, or any other supporting documentation.

You can send messages back and forth until you're ready to make the decision to meet or not.

This is your opportunity to make a good impression. Be polite and tell them why you think you're the right fit for their job.

Has a person seeking care contacted you?

Check the Messages tab regularly when you log into Care Possible – this is how people seeking help will contact you.

If someone has got in touch, their job can be viewed on the right-hand side of your messages page.

Take a good look at the job before responding. Do you have the right skills? Are you able to work the required hours? Are you able to fulfil the requirements?

Even if the job isn't right for you, please take the time to reply. To do so, type your response into the comment box and click 'Post'.

  • Your clients will book your visits through Care Possible. You’ll be able to see all your visits at a glance, and know exactly where and when you’re due next. Your scheduled visits can be found under “calendar” and will also appear on your dashboard.

When you are booked by a client for the first time, they will create an agreement. You will receive a notification outlining the services you will provide to the client who has hired you, and how you will manage this through the tools provided by Care Possible.

  • Sometimes our circumstances change. No matter what your situation, Care Possible works best when your availability is kept up to date.

    Update your availability:

    • Go to "Dashboard”.

    • Under quick links, click “View Profile”

    • Scroll down to availability and click "Edit".

    • Tick and untick boxes to indicate when you are available.

    • Press "save" when you are finished.

Unpublish your profile if you're not available:

    • Go to “Dashboard”.

    • Under quick links, click “View profile”.

    • Select the button next to “Profile is visible”.

    • Your profile should now say it is hidden. You can always come back in and change it back to "Profile is Visible" if you want to start looking for work again.

  • To help cover the costs of running Care Possible, we include a service fee of 5% of the hourly rate or the overnight rate you have agreed with your client. The service fee enables Care Possible to provide all registered care providers with scheduling and payment tools.

You’ll see the approximate service fee at the time each visit is booked. We’ll calculate the exact amount of service fee after each visit has been completed and approved. The service fee will be included in your payments through your Care Possible account.

    Note:

    • If a visit is cancelled for any reason, we won’t charge a service fe.

    • If a visit is changed, the service fee will adjust in line with the length of the visit.

  • Think about submitting your visits as a type of timesheet. You are confirming that these hours have been completed by you. If you haven’t made any changes to the hours set by your client, then Care Possible will automatically approve your visit within 24 hours.

Sometimes you may need to make small changes, for example if you were running late, or your client needed you to stick around for an extra hour. You can easily edit your hours when submitting visits. If changes have been made, they will need to be directly approved by your client.

Care Possible carries out a weekly pay run each Tuesday. All visits submitted and approved by Monday 11:59 pm are paid out, and you should receive these by Thursday.

If you submit a visit later than 11:59pm on a Sunday, or you have made changes to your visit, you will need to have your client log in and approve it to make sure you get paid at the right time. Unapproved visits roll over to the next week’s pay run.

  • Everyone wishing to work via Care Possible needs to complete:

    • Criminal Record Check

    • Vulnerable Persons Check

    • Adult Abuse Registry Check

    • Child Abuse Registry Check

You are responsible to pay for your Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Persons Check.
